Mam Tor – I visited Mam Tor (Mother Hill) on a late afternoon in May. It is an easy 15 minute walk from the National Trust carpark. As you can see the view from the Peak is fantastic, however, its accessibility invites a lot of visitors at Sunset. Although most embrace the silence and enjoy the sunset there is an element of drinkers and party goers that spoil this place. On my visit I had to remove litter including many beer bottles. I probably would not visit again until Winter.
